Pro-rata salary starting from £18,589 p.a.
The Workplace is an aspirational and innovative Alternative Provision Free School in East Sussex for pupils in years 9 to 11. The Workplace provides education that is industry-driven, rigorous in quality, based on partnerships and focussed on enterprise. It offers pupils a strong basis of Maths, English, Science and IT alongside quality provision in one of six vocational areas (Hairdressing & Barbering, Hospitality & Catering, Construction, Automotive, Sports & Fitness and Arts & Creativity).
Pupils who access The Workplace will be identified as at being at risk of disengagement and exclusion from their commissioning school. We have high expectations of pupils via Workplace standards, to suitably prepare them for post-16 and the wider world of work. Staff will work with employers across industry to ensure that classroom practice replicates the world of work and ensure pupils develop relevant skills and knowledge.
The Role: School Administrator, to provide effective and confidential comprehensive administrative support to the Site Maintenance Lead, Resource Coordinator and Principal, in order to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school. To provide a clean and safe environment for all users of the school building, fleet and grounds. To supervise contractors and ensure compliance through regular maintenance, servicing and inspection, maintaining records and supporting compliance. To provide administration support to the front office as and when required
You Are: An experienced administrator with experience of information management systems. You will have experience of managing data/communication within education or industry. You will be exceptionally organised and have experience of managing tight deadlines. You will be able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and manage a varied workload.
The working pattern will be Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3pm. We are a warm, friendly and supportive team, with additional benefits, such as free daily lunch.
If successful, you will be employed initially by The SABDEN Multi Academy Trust and then transferred via TUPE to London South East Academies Trust in early to mid-2026.
